Welcome to Lashon Valley Middle School!

At Valley Village, we are excited to welcome students from TK to second grade into our vibrant community! Our campus offers a beautiful new space with cozy classrooms, a large playground, and a safe, secure environment where student safety is always a top priority. Our experienced and passionate teachers provide an engaging, hands-on curriculum that incorporates project-based learning, allowing students to explore, create, and problem-solve in meaningful ways. We also prioritize social-emotional learning (SEL), helping our young learners develop important skills like empathy, self-awareness, and emotional competence—tools they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom. As we grow our campus, we are committed to teaching your children and watching them flourish!

From the Assistant Head of School

Shalom Leopards! My name is Ravit Feldman and I am currently serving as the Hebrew and Israel Studies Program Director across all campuses and the Middle School Assistant Principal at our Lashon Valerio Campus. I started my journey as an educator when I moved here from Israel 22 years ago. A part-time job as a preschool teacher assistant opened my eyes to the educational world, and I never looked back at the business career I had in Israel. I was so inspired that I went to get my preschool teaching certificate and continued in early education for 10 years.

My love for children pushed me to pursue further education and get my K-8 teaching credential while looking for a full-time job. That’s when I learned about Lashon. I remember my first meeting with Ms. Garcia and Mr. Josh Stock, when I knew right then and there that Lashon was my place. And so, I joined Lashon a year after its opening to teach Hebrew. I continued to pursue second language acquisition and received my MA in teaching foreign language from Middlebury College shortly after I became the director of the Hebrew program. My passion for education and seeing the spark in both teachers and students brought me to pursue my career further and get my administration credential to become the middle school assistant principal.

One of my greatest joys is fostering connections between different cultures and bringing people together through shared understanding. In my role, I have the privilege of watching students discover the richness of different cultures, not just through language learning, but through meaningful interactions with their peers and our multicultural staff. This passion for building bridges between communities has become central to my educational philosophy. Every day, I witness the beautiful tapestry of cultures that makes up our Lashon family, and I’m continually inspired by how our students and families embrace and learn from one another. Lashon is my home away from home, and I feel very fortunate to serve such a diverse and special community.
