Welcome to Lashon Valley Village!

At Valley Village, we are excited to welcome students from TK to second grade into our vibrant community! Our campus offers a beautiful new space with cozy classrooms, a large playground, and a safe, secure environment where student safety is always a top priority. Our experienced and passionate teachers provide an engaging, hands-on curriculum that incorporates project-based learning, allowing students to explore, create, and problem-solve in meaningful ways. We also prioritize social-emotional learning (SEL), helping our young learners develop important skills like empathy, self-awareness, and emotional competence—tools they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom. As we grow our campus, we are committed to teaching your children and watching them flourish!

From the Head of School

My name is Ryan McMorran, and I am the current Valley TK-8th Principal. Since 2007, I have been dedicated to the field of education, embarking on a journey that began in a place close to my heart—the very school I attended as a child. My first role as a yard coach sparked a passion for working with students and the transformative power of education. This early experience inspired me to pursue a career in teaching, leading me to earn both my teaching credential and a Master of Education degree from various universities.

My path eventually led me to Lashon, where I was drawn to the school’s mission of fostering global citizenship and diverse inclusion. At Lashon, I had the privilege of teaching across multiple grade levels, beginning with Kindergarten and later transitioning to 6th grade. These experiences deepened my understanding of the developmental and academic needs of students at different stages of their educational journey.

As my career progressed, I stepped out of the classroom to take on the role of Academic Dean. In this position, I discovered my ability to make a broader impact, supporting both students and teachers while remaining closely connected to the school community—something I value deeply. This realization ultimately guided me to pursue a leadership role in administration, where I could further amplify my contributions to education.

Today, I am honored to serve as the ETK-8th grade principal for all of Lashon’s Valley campuses. This role has been the most rewarding and humbling experience of my professional life. It has given me the opportunity to work collaboratively with an incredible team, support our students and families, and help shape the future of our school. As we continue to strive for educational excellence, I am excited to lead with passion, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to our mission.
